Fall Guide: Pumpkin Patches & Farms

Atlanta Pumpkin Patch

Fall weather in North Georgia is the best! The mornings are cool, the afternoons bring plenty of sunshine, and the evenings just call out for fire pits and s’mores. There is no better time to get outside and have some farm family fun. Here are our favorite pumpkin patches, farms, and corn mazes around metro-Atlanta and North Georgia!

The Rock Ranch

Location: The Rock, GA (between Atlanta & Macon)

Cost: Most weekends $16.50/person, additional cost for some attractions

Description: The Rock Ranch is about an hour south of the city with tons of family fun! Their Fall Family Saturdays include a Cowboy Day, a Hot Air Balloon Day, and even a Pumpkin Destruction Day the Saturday after Halloween! There’s a Farm Market on the ranch which sells fresh produce (including pumpkins) and also grass-fed beef. Other attractions at the ranch include a zip line, carousel, and even a tiny town for kids to explore!

Burt’s Pumpkin Farm

Location: Dawsonville, GA 

Cost: Admission & parking are free, Hayrides cost $6/person for those over 2

Description: Burt’s is located about an hour north of Atlanta, close to beautiful Amicalola Falls if you want to make a day trip of it. The farm boasts TONS of pumpkins in all colors, shapes, and sizes. On the hayride, kids can see the pumpkin patch and meet some talking pumpkins!

Buford Corn Maze

Location: Buford, GA

Cost: Corn Maze tickets & Haunted Forest tickets are $15 each, Combo tickets are $25 (tickets include access to the Kid’s Corner and unlimited hayrides), Kids 3 & under are free

Description: Obviously, there’s a huge corn maze! This farm also includes a popcorn jumping pillow, a combine slide, a haunted forest for kids 10 and up, pumpkins to purchase, and much more. 

Corn Dawgs

Location: Loganville, GA

Cost: Tickets for ages 3+ $12 with some activities costing extra

Description: Corn Dawgs has both a big maze (over 4 miles) and a kid-sized maze! There are also lots of games as well as places to jump, climb, slide, and swing. There’s also a pumpkin patch (complete with a cannon for pumpkin shooting) and a petting zoo. 

Washington Farms

Location: Watkinsville/Athens, GA

Cost: Daytime Prices are $14 ages 5+ and $10 ages 2-4, Flashlight Night Prices are $12 ages 5+

Description: Daytime activities at Washington Farms include the Corn Maze, Petting Zoo, Pig Races and lots more! Flashlight Nights include the Corn Maze, campfires with s’mores and hot chocolate, and lots of fun games. Note that there are 2 locations, all the fall activities take place at the Watkinsville/Athens farm.

Jaemor Farms

Location: Alto, GA (northeast GA)

Cost: All Access Passes are $14, or go a la carte for $1-$10 depending on the activity

Description: Jaemor Farms has tons of fun for families- everything from a Corn Maze to skeeball to hayrides to duck races! If you are looking for a unique date night, check out Jaemor Farms on September 29th! For $40/person you can enjoy dinner, live music, fun activities, and s’mores by the fire with your sweetheart!

Lee Anderson Farms

Location: Dahlonega, GA

Cost: All Day Passes are $14, Corn Maze alone $10, Trolley Ride alone $5

Description: This farm in Dahlonega has a Corn Maze, pumpkin patch, and a Tractor-Pulled Trolley Ride (like a hayride minus the hay, great if you have allergies!). Their Fall Festival also features a History Tour which will educate visitors about the original inhabitants of this part of the state- the Seven Clans of the Cherokee Nation.

Sleepy Hollow Farms

Location: Powder Springs, GA

Cost: Ages 3+ $12

Description: Sleepy Hollow has a Corn Maze and pumpkin patch, but they also have a Farm Playground, animals, a Dark Woods haunted attraction, and a photographer on site! If you have older kids or are looking for a unique night without children, check out their Escape Woods programs! (Escape Woods must be reserved in advance.)

Mitcham Farms

Location: Covington, GA

Cost: Ticket Combos range from $10-$14 depending on the activities, with certain activities costing extra

Description: This farm has a giant Corn Maze AND a mini one for smaller kids! You can also enjoy the pumpkin patch, hayrides, a mechanical bull and a lot more. They even have helicopter rides! (For an extra charge, obviously ; ) Evening visitors can end their night roasting marshmallows by the bonfire.

Yahoo Farms

Location: Jasper, GA

Cost: Activities are priced individually and range from $3-$9

Description: Yahoo has tons of activities- from the Corn Maze and pumpkin patch to hayrides and fossil & gem panning. On Sunday afternoons at 2 o’clock they have a special activity for kids 8 and under- a Pumpkin Hunt! Participation is free and the kids get to help the “Pumpkin Bunny” find her missing pumpkins. And they get to keep the one they find!

Big Springs Farms

Location: Woodstock, GA

Cost: Hayrides-$4, Bounce House-$3, Corn Maze-$4

Description: Big Springs boasts a wide variety of pumpkins as well as cute farm animals. If you have a tractor-obsessed child (or adult) in your family, check out their Antique Tractor Show on September 30th!

Berry Patch Farms

Location: Woodstock, GA

Cost: Parking is $3 on weekends

Description: Take a short hayride and choose from a wide variety of pumpkins. Kids can also enjoy a playground and a variety of farm animals.

Warbington Farms

Location: Cumming, GA

Cost: Ages 3+ $12

Description: The fun at Warbington Farms includes a Corn Maze, a “Pumpkin Pile”, a climbing area made from huge tractor tires, and other activities.

Pettit Creek Farms

Location: Cartersville, Ga

Cost: $15 Adults, $12 Children

Description: Pettit Creek is likely the only place in Georgia where you can buy a pumpkin AND see a zebra! They also have camels, emus, buffalo, and more typical farm animals. Their Pumpkin Fest also has a hayride, Corn Maze, and inflatables for the kids.
