Happy Thanksgiving 2016

Thanksgiving Table

Thanksgiving is one time of the year where people tend to agree.  Food is king, the family is worth fighting with, and turkey is what’s for dinner.

Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many Atlanta Area moms by taking on this business. As well as moms all across the country through our City Moms Blog Network.  It makes me more thankful than ever to know that no matter how we became a mom, no matter what age our children are, we are all connected in the sisterhood that is motherhood.

Today I get to spend the day with my three kiddos, my amazing husband, my in-laws, my aunt & uncle-in-law, my brother-in-law and wife, my cousin-in-law, and a 150-pound guest Newfoundland.  It is chaos and it’s noisy.  It is messy, but it is everything that life should be.

Being family means bending to each other and giving thanks to one another today and throughout the year.  Does that mean you never get mad?

Of course not.

Does it mean you never act like the worst version of yourself?

I wish.

It means you try.  You show up…even if you mess up.  You dig deep and remember that being a Mom is also part of being a daughter, a sister, a wife, a friend.  Moms wear so many hats and truly are the center and heart of the family.

Today I ask that you take a moment to give thanks for your family and then take time to thank another mom for being a mom.  We are all in this together, and no one understands the unique pressures like another mama.

Happy Thanksgiving Atlanta Area moms!
