It Takes a Village…or a Neighborhood Group

We’ve all heard the saying “it takes a village” used most commonly when talking about the challenges that come with raising a child. But what about the challenges that come with being a mom? Like never being alone (even in the bathroom) but having that constant feeling of loneliness. Or experiencing middle school all over again when the mean girls at the park won’t let you in their mommy group. And believe me when I tell you that being asked what’s for dinner will literally throw me over the edge some days. True story.

So what if instead of that typical village, we had something different? A group where moms in your area could come together and connect. I mean really connect. Think about being able to take a new mom by the hand and pulling her out of the trenches of her newborn fog. Or letting that mom who just moved to town know where the best coffee place is located. A group sort of like…a neighborhood.

Atlanta Area Moms Blog is excited to launch our Neighborhood Groups! These groups will be on Facebook and will help facilitate playdates, mommy meet-ups, and be a general parenting forum to ask questions and get advice from moms in your specific area. Whether you’re a new mom, new to the city, or just want to meet new friends, these groups will be the perfect way to connect with moms in your area.

Atlanta Area Moms blog is also looking to assign a “MOMbassador” to each group to help coordinate the gatherings and manage the Facebook page. If you have a passion for connecting moms together and planning events, then you might be just the mom we are looking for!

If you have an interest in leading your neighborhood group, please apply HERE

We currently have 14 Neighborhood Groups connecting moms all around Atlanta. Find yours and move in today!

Won’t you be my neighbor?

If you ever need a free speaker for your clubs I am a Thrifty Living Style Coach. I shop thrift stores for my clients. I can put together a wardrobe for the retail price of two outfits!

Anyway I have a workshop in How To Shop Thrift Stores. I’d be happy to share it with your moms. Most moms would rather spend their money on the kids. Thrifty Living makes it so you don’t have to feel guilty spending money on yourself.
    Let me know!
