Look at that sweet smile

We’ve all seen them. Precious photos of squishy little newborns, propped up on their elbows in hats or big bows. As I waited for my little guy, one of the things I looked forward to was getting newborn pictures taken of him. Lindsley Rogers of Appleseed Photography captured him beautifully. She outdid all of my expectations. And the results speak for themselves.

Lindsley shoots her newborn sessions in a studio setting and recommends them being done within the first 2 weeks after arrival. This is when little ones are most sleepy and easier to pose. She will work with you on timing, but if you are interested in booking, contact her prior to your due date. Since due dates are moving targets, she will pencil you in for your due date. After your little one arrives, contact her to set a session date. She will schedule you for a three-hour session, but it can last anywhere from one to three hours, depending on your little one. We took the entire three hours but took a break for feeding. He wanted to be awake for most of his session too. She took the time to help him get to sleep.

During the session, she  provides all the blankets, clothing, bows, baskets, and the touch to get the sweet babies in just the right position. And if your baby isn’t quite asleep enough, she will work with them until they are. All you have to do is sit back and let Lindsley work her magic. The studio is kept warm for comfort and she runs a sound machine for extra white noise.

Working with newborns takes patience, especially when they aren’t on a consistent schedule. But as the shirt, she was wearing the day of Harrison’s photos states, Lindsley is a “Newborn Whisperer.” Truly. I can’t wait to have these pictures printed and hung on my walls. I’ll be using his newborn photos for our Christmas card too! ap_greatgrandmasblanket-1

Not only does Lindsley capture Atlanta area newborns, but she also does family portraits.  To see more of her work or to book your next family session, just visit her website. Hurry and schedule a session today before she’s all booked up for fall. You’ll love what you see!
